With an alley and parking lot that has been patched and repaired but not repaved in the last 50 years, Ithaca City Manager Chelsey Foster said he is very pleased to announce that the city just received a nearly $200,000 grant.
The Michigan Economic Development Corp. was the conduit for a federal community block grant that awarded the city $178,209.
Ithaca will contribute about $40,000 for the project to repave the alley and parking lot on the north side of the downtown, he said.
